New Year's

Image
On New Year's Eve, we decided to use Grammy and Poppy's Christmas present of tickets to a basketball game (the kids got to choose between a BYU game and a Jazz game and they picked Jazz) and see a game!  It was fun to see the lights in Salt Lake.  We were seated way up high, but it was still fun!  The boys were jealous of Anna's jazz shirt she got from a dancer :)   Part of our ticket included a hot dog for each of us.  It really was a great deal for a Jazz game! After the game we came home and started our movie marathon.  This year the family voted on a "Despicable Me" marathon.  We started with Minions and just got halfway through Despicable Me 1 before the kids were all asleep haha  When it was close to midnight, Erik decided to wake up Jackson since he hadn't missed celebrating new years at midnight since he was 4.  I guess we were all exhausted this Christmas break! Vacation Week

I volunteered to be the parent organizer for Jackson's book group they are doing this year.  They made posters and discussed the books they had read.  It's a good group of kids!  Some insta-stories  We finally used part of the Top Golf gift card I got Erik and went as a family.  It was a lot of fun!  I really wasn't good at that at all.  At one point I hit the ball straight up into the air and then down onto my head!  After Top Golf, we went over to the Coles for game night.  There were 3 or 4 other families there and it was a lot of fun!  I was so excited when I finally was able to book a Be Our Guest lunch for our Magic Kingdom Day.  Wyatt went out shooting with Erik one morning.  He was pretty proud of his shot up can!  We tried out the luxury seats for the first time.  It was so nice, but I felt like super lazy or something in the...

Christmas Day

Image
I always have such a hard time sleeping on Christmas Eve.  I think I woke up at 4am and then just laid awake until it was OK to see what the kids were doing.  Wyatt was the first kid to wake up and Jackson was the last.  We waited pretty impatiently for 7:00 when we could wake up Erik :) It was pretty magical to wake up to lots of new snow! Erik was driving the kids nuts with his plans to take a shower and being so slow.  We stopped him from getting the shower! "Hurry up Dad!" Lining up! Stocking time! Lining up to see what Santa left! It was fun having Peter with us! I loved this cute book from Janet! Wyatt shovels the driveway for a bit, and then we get ready for church. Church was so great!  Sacrament meeting was lots of beautiful songs and a few nice testimonies.  It was the perfect thing to do to celebrate Christmas! I really ...
