Party Time!

Image
Spider Man and Thor were happy to host yesterday's party.    What a handsome Thor, much better looking than Chris Hemsworth. :) Jackson has got the spidey pose down ! I have to have at least one shrine to the birthday boy at every child's party :) Birthday Banner #2.  I don't think the kids were really impressed with my sewing skills, haha Helpful Erik.  Speaking of help, Erik and I couldn't have gotten through the party without Andrea's help.  It was so nice of her to come and take pictures, help clean up messes, help break up super hero fights, etc, etc.  At least three adults should be required at all kid's parties! I loved seeing how all of the kid's dressed up.  It is really wonderful to see the way their imagination is unlocked when they're dressed up in costumes!  Elijah/Superman Tanner/Batman Xeo/Army Guy Taryn/Spider Girl Travis/Green Power Ranger Annie/Spider Girl Sydney/Dorothy.  She said Dorothy is her kind of su...

6 Years

Guess who's finally 6?  In some ways I can't believe I have a 6 year old, but on the other hand, knowing Jackson, I also can't believe he didn't turn 6 a couple of years ago :)  We've been having a lot of fun celebrating his special day. Last night we did a family party.  Earlier in the week, I asked Jackson what he wanted for his birthday dinner and he answered Subway.  I wasn't going to argue with that, because that means no work for me! After dinner, we had our chaser.  Gotta love that chaser. Blowing out his subway cookies :) I can see why parents are tempted to spoil their kids, because getting great reactions from them is so much fun!  Jackson gave us some pretty good reactions this year too. Wyatt enjoying his cookie This was the one thing he really really wanted.  He was very excited to have the black spider man costume for his party. Play time! I guess this is the fun part of Jackson's birthday post where I can update ...

Prep Work

We have been pretty busy this week.  Jackson, Wyatt, and myself had our first dental check ups since IDAHO (so sad.  And the worst part is, we paid for dental insurance for a whole year without even using it- ugh!).  Wyatt had his 3 year old check up.  Erik has been super busy at work, leaving early and coming home really late.  And we've been getting ready for Jackson's super hero birthday party.  I'm really excited.  It's not going to be too fancy, but I think the boys will have fun.  Let's just hope I survive a party with 11 kids :) This was last night's project, and I think it's the thing I'm most excited about it.  Only because it shows that I actually sewed something :)  I hadn't even touched my sewing machine since we lived in Visalia, so this was pretty big for me.  I went a little overboard and made 3 of them :)  This morning, while I was getting ready, I came down and saw Jackson had made his own. He...
