It's a Wonderful Life

We had a pretty nice weekend last weekend.  Any weekend that starts of with my inaugural garden tomato feast can't be bad in my book! They were so good.  Unfortunately, my garden doesn't seem to be doing as well as last year's.  I'm having major blossom rot issues on my tomatoes.  Today however, I picked off a ripe tomato that had blossom rot, sliced off of the bottom half and ate the good part and it was totally delicious!  So I guess I will get at least half of my tomatoes :) Friday evening we went up to the drive-in for the first time.  It was great fun!  We got there about 6:45 or so and since the movie doesn't start until dark, that gave us plenty of time to play on the playground, get some dinner, and hang out. I love Jackson's leopard spots that get bleached into his head every summer.  He's had it since he was a baby, but his hair is always shorn so close to his head, so I don't often see them :) ...

Last week was super hot!  With the humidity, many days felt well over 100 degrees!  As you can guess, we spent a lot of our time at the pool :)  I know I've said this, but I really like our neighborhood pool.  I've met some nice people there, and it's just so darn convenient.  And there's an awesome "baby pool" section.  I can also guarantee that at least one family from the ward will be there at any given time, which adds to the fun too (especially for the kids!). I'm wondering if Anna is going through a growth spurt, because each day at the pool last week, she was constantly running to out snacks to get a mouthful.  That girl is already wearing size 3T, I'm not ready to buy her new clothes already (OK, well I  am, but our budget isn't).   New day, new snack :) I've been so pleased with the Wyatt has been enjoying the pool.  He discovered that wearing the floaties makes playing in the water much more fun (he had always ...

I've decided it's time to finally paint the upstairs rooms (we haven't seen we moved in almost two years ago, and some of the colors are quite ugly!).  We are starting with the boys' room.  They decided on a superhero theme, and so I had them do a little superhero fashion show the other day.  Somehow I'm going to hang snapshots of the photos, but I'm not sure how yet.  If anyone has any brilliant ideas let me know! Love my superheros!  We still have a few costumes that didn't get used, so we will do another photo shoot this week :) Saturday morning, I went on my first "long" run since my half marathon last October.  I was thinking it was the longest I had run since then, but then I was reminded of my 6 1/2 in NYC last month, but I retain that I was under a special vacation high spell, and it didn't quite count :)  Anyway, I'm kind of excited to start my training for the Antietam...
