Anna loves being by the fire.  It's actually the only time she doesn't fuss if she's set down.  This girl likes to be held! Our little Sumo wrestler A little dream smile :) We finally found some good bunk beds on Craig's List.  Jackson LOVES sleeping on the top.  I'm still keeping Wyatt in his crib, because he does so well in it.  I see no point in rocking the boat when I have a newborn to give me sleep troubles already.  We'll put Wyatt in bunk bed sometime this summer. Sweet girl.  This is one of my favorite outfits that I ordered for her, because it has my favorite color: yellow :) Jackson always wants to hold her.  Last night we had this sweet conversation: Jackson: "Mom, when are you going to wake up tomorrow morning?" (I've been able to sleep in while my parents have been here) Me: "I don't know Jackson it depends on how much Anna gets up during the night." Jackson: "Oh, I hope she doesn't need to nurse tonight...

Fun with Grandpa and Grandmother

Image
We have been having so much fun with Grandpa and Grandmother this week.  They have done everything that needs to get done as Erik went back to work on Monday.  Every morning my Dad has gotten up with the boys and let me catch a couple of extra hours of sleep with Anna (our 6:30 am is their 3:30 am CA time, so I am super impressed!).  My Mom has kept the house clean, made delicious meals, and done whatever else she can think of to help.  They both have played with the boys endlessly and taken them fun places.  I just can't express how lucky we are to have them!!! On our first night home, we had a bubble gum blowing contest.    Jackson tried and tried to blow a bubble, but just didn't quite get there.  It looks like a gross tongue doesn't it? I think Erik was declared the winner.  I actually had a couple of good ones too, but just didn't capture them on camera. On Wednesday, they took the boys to a fun playground place here ...

Coming Home

Baby Anna from Jenny Nyholm on Vimeo . I was so happy to finally leave the hospital on Sunday, and bring home little Anna! Excuse the spit up on the sheet, but here's a video of Anna in all her 3 day glory :) Things I've discovered so far about Anna: She doesn't love sleeping in cribs, she'd rather sleep cuddled up next to someone (I'm sure all babies are like this really-- she just lets us know already!, she is a really great nurser (as in she does it often, she still needs to open her mouth wider to latch-ouch!) All ready to leave. I have to admit that when we got her dressed in her first outfit I let out a little gasp. It's like it finally sank in that I have a little girl :) It's no wonder Anna came out looking so cute with such a handsome Daddy :) I was so swollen with fluids.  I thought it was funny when I weighed myself the day after coming home and discovered I had only lost 8 pounds.  Um, considering the baby was almost 10 lbs alone, som...

First Visits

Image
I was so anxious to see the boys after Anna was born (and for them to meet her!).  My parents brought them over just a few hours after she was born.  It was really cute to see their excitement and shyness at meeting their new sister. Wyatt wasn't really wanting to get too close. When Erik asked Wyatt if he wanted to hold her or kiss her, Wyatt said, "She is TOO tiny!" Daddy showing how it's done Jackson was bit too nervous to hold her the first day as well.  But you could certainly see the love on his face!  So precious.  Anna was happy to be held by her Grandmother  . . .  . . . and her sweet Grandpa :) Jackson was really excited to give me these beautiful flowers that my parents picked up at the gift shop (and I bet he was just as excited to pose next to this bear that was outside the shop!) Yesterday, Jackson had no problem holding his new sister.  He was great! Wyatt however, still thought she "was too tiny." He just wanted to be i...
