It's a Wonderful Life

Friday, Jackson had an early dismissal day, so we took the opportunity to head over to the National Zoo.  Erik was able to cut out of work early, and we had perfect weather so we all had a fabulous time (especially me because I was originally planning on taking the kids by myself but having Erik there made it oh so much better!)  We also had all been suffering from colds earlier this week, so it felt extra nice to be out and about on Friday. I found a super great deal on a Phil and Ted's stroller (50 bucks!) this past week and was excited to see how it did at the zoo.  Last year, we brought our double jogger, which was nice, but this is much easier to maneuver around (however, just for anyone interested, the bob jogger is better to run with) I hadn't even realized Jackson and Wyatt were matching. Last weekend, we drove down to Charlotte, NC for some NHRA drag races.  Now do you think in my wildest imagination I ever thought I would have written that sentence 15 years ago??  I did not.  But luckily I married a guy that "broadens my horizons" and I get to experience some good time, Americana :)  (I also had a hard time saying no to this venture, knowing Erik just took me to three Broadway musicals in one weekend not too long ago :) Anyway, the drive down is about 5 hours.  Since we were taking the travel trailer, we had to drive the kids and all three were very close together (uh-oh recipe for fights), however they actually did really great.  I think it helps that this is 2013, and they each had something to watch a movie on (Wyatt and Jackson had to agree on what to watch though, as they were using one of the dual screen DVD players- tough break).
