April Fun

Image
Erik is making some great progress in the backyard!  He brought home a skid steer the other day to further move things along.  The kids of course, were over joyed to play with Dad's new "toy." :) I hate to laugh one Sunday evening, when I had an old movie on while I cooked dinner and noticed Jackson was sucked into it!  That kid appreciates good entertainment, I tell you :) That same day we had Paul and Brady over!  It was a lot of fun.  We did our first fire of the year too.  No marshmallows though!  Erik didn't want to try and find the marshmallow sticks-- I was greatly disappointed haha I got a sourdough start from our friend in the ward and I am so excited about it! I've been feeding it weekly and have made sourdough pancakes and this first loaf of sourdough bread.  After baking it, the outside was perfect but the inside too doughy for my taste.  Today however, I made my second loaf, baking at a lower temper...

Our Week (part two) :)

Anna loves being rolled up like a caterpillar! The other day when we were at the Rec Center Anna made a little friend.  It was pretty cute to see. And we had a not so great weather surprise (well I didn't love it, as you can see the kids felt differently).  Last Wednesday brought so much snow to Herriman! Jackson got his braces on!  He will have them on for 6-9 months.  He's done a great job taking care of his teeth with the new hardware too. Anna had a birthday party invitation that she was so excited for!  The party had a theme of "pancakes and pajamas" and Anna was more than happy to wear her PJs!  I love to see her social self come out more and more.  She did not want me to stay at the party with her.  She said, "No Mom JUST DROP ME OFF!" It's a good thing we earn reward points every time we go to a movie (which then gives us more tickets), because we do go there quite a bit!  We saw Monkey Kingdom on Friday (...

Our Week

A couple of Mondays ago, we drove up to Roy to hang out with the Hunts and go to Pizza Pie Café for diner.  I love the Pizza Pie Café in Rexburg in Ogden (or wherever it is up there), but the one nearest us is pretty bad.  It seemed dirty and the food was cold (bleh!).  I guess we will just be going there when visiting family from now on! Anna and Wyatt had swim lessons last week.  Their teacher was one of my visiting teachers and she did such a great job with them!  I wanted to put them in this week to keep the momentum going, but there weren't enough spots for the both of them.  Jackson decided to not do stroke school this time, which I was fine with.  He certainly knows how to swim, and once he's ready to do swim team, I'll put him in a week's refresher course. During their off track break, I've had homework for them to do every day (of course!).  Every day they have math, reading and then science and writing is switched off ev...
