Last Week of Vacation Part 1

Image
The kids have still been going strong with their art projects.  I love seeing the things they come up with! It has been such a treat to see how well Wyatt has been doing in the pool!  He has conquered his fear of getting his face/ears wet and LOVES playing and swimming! He was even taking Anna around the lazy river! Anna had her first day at the new dance studio last week!  It's tap/ballet combo.  I was kind of bummed when I dropped her off and found out that parents aren't allowed to watch :(  They can on the last week of the month, so I will definitely be doing that this week.  I actually had to switch her from the morning class (that she went to the day these pics were taken) to the evening class, because like a dummy I thought her preschool was on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday when in fact it is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday!  Anyway, the evening class has her friend Kate, so it's all good! Slow Week

Anna and Wyatt had swim lessons a couple of weeks ago.  I let Jackson take the week off since he already did stroke school at the beginning of the summer :)     Anna had her preschool orientation.  She is so excited to start, and it looks like a great preschool! Jackson made a board game out of paper.  I love when the kids get creative!   Decorating cupcakes outside-- where the mess belongs! I was laughing so hard when I opened this amazon package that was SUPPOSED to be a Harry Potter poster! I don't think Jackson will want to hang up a Friends poster in his room!! ;) And then their swim lesson week was over I was so proud to see Wyatt had passed the level he was in!  It was awesome to see him get in the water and not worrying about getting his face wet.  I hope he can keep this up! Oh you know, just requesting a picture in the Target parking :) We stopped by Petco the other day and I was telling them that...

Potter 5K

A couple of months ago Amanda sent me a text asking if I had heard about a Harry Potter 5K in Utah.  I hadn't, but I loved the thought of doing that so I signed me and Jackson up! It was very close in West Jordan which was nice.  It was also so fun to see some of the runners decked out in different costumes (one girl was in a hot velvet Death Eater costume complete with a mask!) I let Jackson use my little ipod.  A couple of days before I put together a play list for him with all of his favorite songs: The themes from Harry Potter (naturally!), Jurassic Park, and Avengers, his favorite pop songs this summer (Dynamite, Honey I'm Good).  Anyway, I told him we would do walk/run intervals one song of each.  It worked out really well.  And even though the course was kind of lame (just going on the path through this park 4 times), it was a fun race! With our super cute medals!  The first thing Erik said when he met up with u...
