It's a Wonderful Life

  Last Friday night was my first night time race!  I was seriously nervous!  I ALWAYS am nervous before a race though, so it really shouldn't be a surprise at this point.  Trying to selfie my glow jewelry the race people provided :)   Post nervous pee out house stop and ready to go! :)  The atmosphere of the race was so much fun!  There were several large family groups there (like from out of state at family reunions) which were fun to watch.  Our headlamp wasn't working, so I just benefited from other people's lights when I was running next to them or I just had the moonlight! Luckily, the path was completely paved.  It was a really nice (and flat!) path that goes next to the Jordan River.  I will definitely be back there to run!   I was pretty happy with how the run went.  My Garmin told me I ran 9:40/mile, BUT it didn't reach 6.2 miles!  I only ran 5.9 miles!  I asked th...

 Last Thursday, we went to see The Secret Life of Pets.  The kids are always excited when the "D-Box preview seats" have a new preview to see :)   After picking up our tickets we walked around the District looking for Pokemon and figuring out where to eat lunch.    I choose Zupas- yum!  Then we walked to Target to get our movie treats, and then we saw the movie!  It was . . . OK.  I think my expectations were too high.  There were definitely a few parts that I LOL (and there was one totally weird/funny Grease musical number bit), but there were lots of times when I just was waiting for it to end.  Expectations are really everything!  I thought it was funny how Luna kept going into the kiddie pool to retrieve cups or balls that she wanted to chew on haha  Erik was on a work trip that night, which I never enjoy, but it was really nice just relaxing in the backyard, watching the kids ...
