County Fair

Image
Last Saturday, we went out to the Clarke County Fair.  We hadn't been to a county fair, since we lived in Visalia.  I think these little things are a lot of fun :) Demolition Derby?  Yeah, that sounds like something my family would like! :) Taking the boys on the Ferris Wheel. That thing goes so high! Wyatt's ride pick was this super comfortable bus ride. Jackson's pick was a roller coaster type deal he went on with Erik (we were standing in line for this, so didn't a pic) And last but not least, animals!

A Few Randoms

Love Jackson's face here! Give this girl some crushed ice and she is happy for quite a while. This was the first garden haul I had post-trip.  I haven't had as good a day since. With some of those tomatoes, we made salsa.  We've already gobbled up one jar, we'll see how long they last :)   It's so cute to see Anna learn how to fold her arms for prayer.  As soon as we get to the last bar of the song we sing she looks up expectantly at me with her arms folded :) The old costumes these boys put on crack me up To give Andrea some time to get her house ready to sell, I took Taryn and Clay for a bit.  I needed to go to the mall to get a present, so I braved it with all 5 kids.  It actually wasn't too bad. Captain America Girl to the rescue!

Going for the Gold

I LOVE the Olympics.  Summer and Winter, I am all over those games.  I wanted to do some kind of Olympic themed activity, but since we were on vacation for most of them, I didn't see how it would happen.  However, last Monday I just decided to have a little Family Home Evening Olympics at our place with a few friends.  It turned out so much fun!  Mostly due to the fact that I didn't plan everything.  I just asked each family to bring some type of game we could play, and they all were great. We started off with the lighting of the torch.  Everyone had a birthday candle that was lit by the person next to them.  We did that all around the circle until the last person lit the "big torch" (da bath and body works candle). Each family was a country, and points were kept track of on a little poster board that people decorated.  The first place winner of a game got 20 points, second place got 10 points, and third place got 5.  The f...

The Rest of Our Trip

Image
Well now it's been too long since we've been home, and I'm probably going to put pictures out of order and forget some things . . . Isn't that a cute picture of Anna and Camia?  She is adorable, super cute personality.  Today while we were driving, Wyatt out of the blue, said "Mia is the cutest!"  haha, Anna was sure interested in her!   Trying to get a family picture at church. Silly faces!  As you can see, I'm pretty much the worst at silly faces poses! Trying to get a group picture of the kids at Kelsey's later that day was less successful! All 8 Nyholms This is definitely out of order.  On Saturday night, we all went out to dinner in Tracy (3 babysitters stayed home with the kiddos!).  Our car made a quick stop for some Thrifty ice cream on the way home.  Erik is pretty much obsessed with Thrifty Chocolate Malted Crunch ice cream! Jackson was feeling very brave posing for a picture by one of the Bec...
