Stockton Time

Image
Well when I got to Stockton I had one thing and one thing only on my mind: decompress.  I felt raw and tired from everything that moving and leaving Winchester entailed.  I hardly took any pictures those first few days and just relaxed and enjoyed being with my Mom and Dad. We did a lot of puzzles and watched a lot of movies :) All three wanted to get into the bath and it was quite the tight squeeze!   Sadly a couple of weeks before we got to Stockton, my Mom injured her neck!   I had a neck injury last winter and I know how debilitating that can be!  Of course with not being able to move very well, my Mom wasn't able to put up her Christmas decorations.  So we did!  Since, I didn't get to decorate a house or a tree it was a lot of fun :)  The kids LOVED picking out a fresh tree too.

Last Weekend in Winchester

My crazy range of emotions continued during our last weekend.  The boys had their last day of school at Greenwood Mill which was so hard!  It's not that I don't think the kids will have a good school here in Utah.  It's just that we have made so many wonderful connections there and both Wyatt and Jackson adored their teachers.  This moving stuff is tough!! Wyatt with Mrs. Mobley on their last day.  She was so great for Wyatt! And kindergarten aide Mrs. Harper.  She was the aide for Jackson's class as well, so we've known her for awhile now.  And we love her! Jackson with Mrs. Hillyard.  She is a wonderful teacher.  I could tell both teachers loved Wyatt and Jackson which as a mother, is so hard to leave!  You definitely want your kids to be in the hands of someone that cares about them so much!     One of the best things about the weekend was that Erik came back!  We again checked into...

Packing It Up

Image
Grrr . . . I just worked on this blog post and my computer crashed!  So just to let you know this post will be as good as the original haha I can't remember exactly when I got this fitbit badge, but I always get excited when I receive one of those!   Hmm let's see, I didn't have to pack very much to box up since we had packers and movers coming to our house, but I did need to pack up that one box of Christmas stuff so it could stay together.  And I also needed to separate the stuff we would need in CA and the stuff we would need in Utah.  By the way, I'm really wishing now I had thought more thoroughly about what I needed in Utah.  When we did this whole relocation to an apartment while waiting for our house to close thing in AZ our situation was so much different.  I only had a preschooler and a one year old to keep happy.  And it was early summer in AZ which is a pretty great time to just spend all of your hours in the one ...

Gingerbread House Parties

Image
Had to include this cute picture of Anna.  I often feel guilty that I don't play with her enough (or at least I have to tell her no that I can't play with her more much more often than I wish), but it's so important to just do it sometimes!  Even if its just a few minutes, I know that those few minutes are time well worth spent!  I love my days with this girl :) So Erik left on Sunday the 14th to start his first day on the job in Utah.  I could tell he was a bit nervous (who wouldn't be??), but knew he was going to do great! The kids and I were staying in Winchester one last week.  I was a stress ball of course.  Staying by myself is about my least favorite thing to do and I was nervous about being in charge of the packers. But because I'm slightly crazy, I had agreed to have a couple of gingerbread house making parties for the kids.  I hated that most of our Christmas traditions were not happening, so I wanted to at least keep...
