Coming Home

Sunday morning, we slept in, packed up, and went to a local church for Sacrament meeting.  It's funny in Island park bc they have an a-frame building next to the church building where you can watch the Sacrament meeting from a live feed and take the sacrament.  I think it gets to disruptive to have a ton of one day visitors that they have it all worked out haha  Other than being INCREDIBLY noisy, it was a nice service!   And then we were off on our long drive.  I was getting more and more bored, so snapchat pulled through again haha  We did get stuck in traffic which really sucked. We came home to a really fun surprise from Hannah and my aunt Tammy.  It was s sweet of them to leave us a treat as a thank you!

Trail Ride

Saturday was our first "early morning" of the trip.  We had a horse back trail ride at 9:00 I believe.  I thought it was pretty cool to see a cattle drive on the side of the highway on our way there!  It didn't take long to get to Harriman state park where the trail ride was.  This is the same place we went to last year.  However last year Wyatt refused to get on a horse and Anna was too young.  Technically she was still young this time since you had to be 6 to ride, but we explained that she was 5 1/2 and they were OK with Anna riding.  And Wyatt had absolutely no problem getting on his horse.  He was excited to ride!  I was really proud :)   Jackson was a bit disappointed that his horse was one of the shorter ones.  It also ended up being one of the slowest and laziest too.  He was not impressed-- especially since he is the most experienced rider in our family (other than Er...

Island Park Day

The next day we had another relaxing morning then we drove over to a spot where you can float Henry's Fork.  Unfortunately the big inflatable rafts were all gone, so we had to do a metal fishing boat.  This did not seem as comfortable to me, but we were OK with it.  The kids had fun playing in the water and digging while we waited for a boat to free up.  Anna was very proud of her castle creation :)  The float was fun.  It is a VERY slow and shallow river.  We had to get ourselves out and push the boat at times.  Also Erik was getting frustrated with our rowing and steering capabilities haha  He decided to just steer by himself most of the time ;)  Also, I got SUPER tired for a portion of it.  I had just started a new medication for my skin (still waiting to see if it will work or not!) and one side effect is fatigue (and nausea and  water retention and weight gain-- just what you want in a medication right?...
