It's a Wonderful Life

April 19th was such a great day for me, and it's fun looking at the pictures and re-living it!  I left  Stockton about 10ish I think to pick up Erik from the airport in Oakland.  We debated back and forth whether we should take BART into San Francisco or drive and park.  We also were trying to figure out what to do in the city before Hamilton started.  I knew a segway tour would be fun again, so we looked up what was available.  The tour we booked was called Warf to  . . . something I can't remember what it was called, because basically Erik and I were the only ones in the tour and could choose where to go with our guide! It was such a beautiful day in the city!  I feel like you never know if it will be foggy and cold, or sunny and beautiful . . . we got sunny and beautiful! Segway outfit on! :) Oh yeah, because I was wearing birkenstocks and you have to wear closed toed shoes with this company, I had to borrow a pair of their crock...

The day after Easter (after Jackson and I went out for our 3 miler), we got in the car and drove to Vegas!  We decided to go "the southern route" and split our drive into two days.  It was fun seeing the Winsborrows and staying at their house for a night! And I love running in the warm weather in Henderson! The next day we started our drive to Stockton.  There was a LOT of traffic (I think from construction) in Southern California which was pretty annoying.  The kids almost watched an entire movie while I sat in one spot! We stopped at Bakersfield for dinner and a quick Target trip. And then we finally were in Stockton!  As soon as we woke up the next day, Anna didn't waste anytime getting Grandmother to play with her.  Lucky, lucky kids!

Jackson (with a lot of help from Erik) made his invention for the Invention Convention.  It was the "rollinator" that helps you roll up your sheets to make your bed in the morning.  I actually got up early to run.  Early enough it was still dark when I left!  I love that now though, with the long summer days it's light by 6:00am! I went on Wyatt's field trip to the aviary.  It was a lot of fun! There was a really cool bird show that we were amazed by! Finishing up the rollanator! It's been so fun seeing these cute friends play football together this season! I took Anna, Chase, and Wyatt to see a bunch of the kids in our ward perform in middle school's Lion King.  It was a lot of fun!
