Conference and Easter

Image
Conference weekend of course means food! Haha I have tried over the years to listen the junk food associated with it, but there is no getting around it's more fun to listen to conference when there is special treats too!  I really enjoyed having Conference back in the morning rather than the afternoon and evening like it is in the east coast.  This means that breakfast-y foods like cinnamon rolls make a little more sense! We once again did the "Beautiful Mind" like post notes for the prophets and apostles.  Each time the kids put up a post it note relating to their talk, they would get one jelly belly.  Jackson saved of all of his, because he said it's a lot more fun to stuff a whole handful of jelly bellys in your mouth rather than one at a time-- I have to agree with him! That evening we had a special treat in our activity too.  Josh had gotten tickets to the hockey game at the Maverik Center and they invited us to join them!  It was so much...

School's Out!!

Image
The other day, Anna and I got out her princesses and did what we always love to do, switch up their dresses!  It seriously brings me real enjoyment.  I mean Tiana looks  amazing in Elsa's Frozen Fever dress! ;) I get in such a good mood when the air is warm enough to ride and walk to school.  It's just about 0.6 miles away, so it's a great little walk. The boys had their last day of school on Thursday, so Friday we all went to the gym together.  It's always such a great feeling to know that we have over three weeks of no schedules and we have extra time to do fun things together! This was their yay-school-is-out-faces! To kick off April break, we went and saw the movie Home.  I loved going to the movie theater (per usual!), but the movie was pretty lame! So, I follow Anna Kendrick on instagram and she was posting people's "Beca faces," so I thought it would be fun to see Anna on it.  However, I didn't post it in ti...

Caught Up!

Image
For the first time in months and months, I'm caught up on this blog!  Woohoo!  I'm finally ordering my 2014 books (I have to print the posts on two books).  I do like having these records, so that I can look back on our day to day life (no matter how exciting or boring or stressful or happy it sometimes seems) We went to Jackson's last basketball game on Saturday.  I love seeing Wyatt read his books while supporting his brother :) The weather has been very nice and spring like which of course meant that the kids thought it was hot enough for the sprinklers, which it was not!   Occasionally, I will let the kids buy "special drinks" at Target.  It was pretty cute seeing how excited Wyatt was with his the other day.  I also loved his conversation while he drank it:  Avengers: Age of Ultron predictions and other super hero-y talk :) So crazy to see how big Jackson's shoes are now! I loved Anna's outfit the other day and...

New Stuff

Anna was pretty occupied for the few days after her birthday.  There was so many fun presents to play with! :) Anna has done a great job riding her bike!  I feel bad, because our street is not flat at all.  So she is either going downhill and just coasting (which she loves) or she's having to pedal really hard uphill.  We need to find some good flat streets in Herriman. Haha her outfit.  I usually let her dress herself as you can see :) So we never got a chance to eat the cake Jackson decorated!  Right before Erik went to some bishopric meetings two days after her birthday, we sang and had her blow out the candles. Since we live right across the street from the church building, the kids often ride their bikes and scooters in the parking lot.  It is still is inclined, but there's a lot of space. And Jackson brought home lots of new stuff from his Fantasy Week!  I was blown away, by the all of ...
