One Month Old

Today is Anna's one month birthday!  I know this is pretty cliche, but it truly feels like she's always been with us and it feels like it has sped by.  I'm so thankful that she is in our family.  And that she is a healthy,  happy baby! She started smiling at me this week!  Actually last week was her first social smile, but this week she's done it several times.  It's so rewarding to get those smiles!!!  (I tired to get a picture, but it's so hard to capture in time!) Like I said she is a pretty happy baby.  However, she's happy because I hold her so dang much :)  She doesn't like just hanging out on her own to much (pretty normal for anyone right?)  At least she takes naps on her own now though (I won't disclose how I've accomplished this :) ). And she's definitely getting bigger!  I'm so sad she's already out grown most of her 0-3 month sized clothes.  Some of the dresses she never even got to wear, dang it!  I think...

My Special Postpartum Bonus

It must be the total lack of sleep I'm getting, but my sore throat that I started with last Monday has turned into something yucky.  I just got back from the Dr. and she said my throat looks awful and I have a ton of fluid in my ears.  Luckily, the antibiotic she gave should start to work its magic in a couple of days . . . I hate being sick!

Our New Norm

Well, this was my first week being a stay at home of 3 by myself.  I must say how grateful I am that I got a little more than two whole weeks of help.  It made my recovery from my c-section so much easier.  Not to mention how loved I felt!  Overall it was easier than I thought it would be (with some definite ups and downs!).  I've discovered that being a Mom of three invovles an insane amount of juggling.  I felt like I was just running f rom one kid to the next, helping, feeding, breaking up fights, coming up with new activities.  My eating, showering, or getting ready sometimes fell by the wayside (of course all of you moms know exactly what I'm talking about!). This week, Anna's cord finally fell off and healed so we were able to give her a bath.  She loved it! And the boys loved bathing with her too :) It was quite the crowded bath! I just adore this girl. ahh, nothing like the smell of a freshly bathed baby :) Check out t...

Strollin'

Anna experienced her first walk yesterday.  The spring weather has been so unpredictable, I feel like yesterday was the first nice day in a long time.  Before conference started (weird that the first session doesn't even start until noon here!), we all went out and enjoyed the sunshine! It was my first time using the Moby wrap; Anna and I both loved it.  My newborns have always fussed at first in the Baby Bjorn, so it was nice to have something that Anna liked immediately. There isn't too many things that are cuter to me than a little boy on a red tricycle.  Wyatt felt like a big boy being able to ride around the neighborhood! You can tell this trike has received a lot of love since Jackson got it when he was 2! Jackson on his "big bike."  We received this from a friend in Idaho and we've carted it around through all of our moves.  Erik put training wheels on it this weekend.  Jackson was thrilled to finally be able to ride it. ...

Say Cheese!

We took a bunch of pictures of all 5 of us the other day, and this was honestly the best one!  Haha, who know when we'll get a good family picture!

Pictures, Pictures

Anna loves being by the fire.  It's actually the only time she doesn't fuss if she's set down.  This girl likes to be held! Our little Sumo wrestler A little dream smile :) We finally found some good bunk beds on Craig's List.  Jackson LOVES sleeping on the top.  I'm still keeping Wyatt in his crib, because he does so well in it.  I see no point in rocking the boat when I have a newborn to give me sleep troubles already.  We'll put Wyatt in bunk bed sometime this summer. Sweet girl.  This is one of my favorite outfits that I ordered for her, because it has my favorite color: yellow :) Jackson always wants to hold her.  Last night we had this sweet conversation: Jackson: "Mom, when are you going to wake up tomorrow morning?" (I've been able to sleep in while my parents have been here) Me: "I don't know Jackson it depends on how much Anna gets up during the night." Jackson: "Oh, I hope she doesn't need to nurse tonight...

Fun with Grandpa and Grandmother

Image
We have been having so much fun with Grandpa and Grandmother this week.  They have done everything that needs to get done as Erik went back to work on Monday.  Every morning my Dad has gotten up with the boys and let me catch a couple of extra hours of sleep with Anna (our 6:30 am is their 3:30 am CA time, so I am super impressed!).  My Mom has kept the house clean, made delicious meals, and done whatever else she can think of to help.  They both have played with the boys endlessly and taken them fun places.  I just can't express how lucky we are to have them!!! On our first night home, we had a bubble gum blowing contest.    Jackson tried and tried to blow a bubble, but just didn't quite get there.  It looks like a gross tongue doesn't it? I think Erik was declared the winner.  I actually had a couple of good ones too, but just didn't capture them on camera. On Wednesday, they took the boys to a fun playground place here ...
