Camping

In the middle of October, we went on a camping trip!  We had been trying to get away camping for a long time, and once when we were hanging out with the Neals and Starleys, we decided to just set a date and make it happen! We went back to the place that we had camped at with the Downums a couple of years ago.  It's a great place.
On the way down, Anna was out!  Oh by the way, isn't her seat belt situation awful?  I feel like no matter how tight I make her straps, she wiggles out of the top ones!  Yikes!

We got there before anyone else, and had a good time setting up and exploring.

Mr. Jackson Man was mostly just excited to use his pocket knife he had gotten back in January, but we have kept it locked up haha.  He was very responsible with it during camping weekend, maybe before too long, he will get to keep it always . . . . maybe.

Wyatt doing a great job helping unload the firewood from the truck.

Setting up Jackson's tent.  I was quite impressed that Jackson wanted to sleep by himself in the tent.  I still wouldn't do that! haha

So this weekend's weather did disappoint.  It was rainy!  Thank goodness for the DVD player in the trailer though!

morning walk selfies!

After a yummy, but wet breakfast we headed out to do some of the fun things Natural Bridge, VA has to offer.  The gift shop/visitor center had added a fun playground since last we were there!

Growling like a bear!

Taking the tour of the cave.  This was fun again as well, however, Wyatt had to take a bathroom break so for Anna and the two of us, it was cut short.  It was actually pretty fun to get to walk back up from the cave without the group or guide.

Colorful, delicious camp food!

Sunday morning was the wettest of them all!  We were in charge of breakfast that morning, and I think everyone was just too wet and cold.  Soon after breakfast, everyone picked up and left.

Wyatt's biggest wish all week was to go fishing and the opportunity never presented itself.  On our way out, we decided to just stop real quick at the camp site's fishing spot so he could feel good about it.

These pictures are out of order now from the point and shoot camera.  Starting from our walk we took to the Natural Bridge.  It is such a gorgeous area!

Checking out the Indian Village.

My favorite picture of the whole weekend!  Jackson loved jumping across the little creek.
