The Weekend

I was so very sad to hear of Alan Rickman's death on Thursday morning.  Like so very sad.  I have never had this type of reaction to a death of someone I don't know personally, but for many reasons knowing that the world has lost Alan Rickman is just devasting.  It probably is because he played Colonel Brandon in Sense and Sensibility which is a very major, important movie to me.  I didn't remember this, but Kathryn reminded me on facebook that we saw it like 7 times in the theaters!  I remember really loving that movie. It is absolutely, breathtakingly gorgeous.  The soundtrack was one of the first strictly classical pieces of music that I could listen to all day.  And the acting and writing is suberb.  And the romance!  Anyway, I kind of had a crush on Alan Rickman without realizing it.  Of course he played Snape with so much love, emotion, and villainy that could possible be expected.  He was the PERFECT Snape!  I also have always loved to hear fellow actors (especially the Harry Potter kids) who talked so lovingly about Alan Rickman, how he supported them way above and beyond.  Anyway, I watched Sense on Friday morning while I was cleaning up and doing laundry and was literally bawling.  So many feels to try and handle.

Cute little Anna on our way out to errands.

Erik and I celebrated our 12th anniversary on Friday night!  Technically our anniversary was on Saturday, but we wanted to go and celebrate on Friday.  I'm so thankful to be married to Erik!

Saturday was a 15 mile run!  In the winter-- yuck.  It took forever long, because I ran 6ish miles outside then went inside the gym and ran 5ish miles on the treadmill, then put my layers back on and tried to run another 4, but my body was just wasted.  I so wanted to quit.  I decided to just keep going doing 1:1 walking/run ratio, and that got me through mentally after a few minutes that I could back to mostly running and I finished my 15.

I sent this picture to Erik's sisters because it made me laugh.  We could never live in a "normal neighborhood" where it is frowned upon to go out and try and shoot the quail that is in the backyard haha When I asked Erik why he wanted to, he said, "Quail are good eating!" ;)

Anna was making different doctor tools with her play dough yesterday, and fixed me up so nicely!  I was more than happy to be the patient that just has to lay down! :)

Her big book of boo boos!
